A girlie card ;)

Hi there!
Today I will be posting two cards - one made by me and one made by my 7years old daughter, Martine. (In fact, she turns 8 on August 16th) We've been using the same papers, making a birthdaycard for my niece who turned 22 years this week. We are celebrating her later today, and she's getting her cards then ;)
My card is made for the following challenges:

* Flutter By Wednesday's - Use your fav color (Hard for me, since I love both lilac, blue/turquoise and pink... LOL! I couldn't pick the one I love the most, so I had to use a little of them all... LOL)
* Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes

And here are some pics of my card:

The frontside on my card

A closeup. My niece is a redhaired, so I had to make the fairy's hair the same color ;)

As you can see, I've made a Z folded card - my first one ever,  in fact ;)

The stickers and the ticket stamp on the inside. The peacock is so beautiful, don't you think?! ;)

A door hanger for my grandma

Hi there!
My grandmother just moved into a new apartment, she has unfortunately got Alzheimers and couldn't live at her own home anymore. She didn't have her own doorhanger so she has got some trouble finding back to her apartment - all doors looks the same... So I thought I should make her a sign that's easy for her to recognize. I've been working as a nurse at a nursinghome with Dementia patiens, and know how important it is for the patients to keep their identity while their disease is disrupting it. I thought that the most important was to make a door hanger that's sticking put among all others,- easy to recognize. And I've made it in gradmum's fav color: GREEN! She also loves flowers so I've added some of those too ;) And the text says: Here lives Ruth. Grandmum was a teacher in needlework, so I think she'll appreciate my machinesewing ;) And just like me: she loves to collect all sorts of fabrics, buttons and ribbons. When she moved from her home, I got all those things from her - and the laces are hers ;) I think that's great!
The picture I've been using, is one of her fav photos - it's a picture og my grandma and my mother eating their lunch outside! Isn't that fantastic?! The picture is over 50 years old!! :)
Well, enough "talking" - I'll show you some pics, but just to let you know that I'm entering the following challenges with my creations:

* Vintageudfordring - Flowers

The background is an altered carton from a box I got with some scrapbookthings that I'd ordered ;) I've painted it with two different green acrylic paint - trying to crackle it but one of the paint-tubes was too dry... Well well, I got some effect anyway! *lol*
The paper is handmade craftpaper from Panduro. The flowers are Mulberry Hydrangea Summer from Papirloftet. The leafes are from Kort og Godt. Wire and ribbon for the hanging. Chipboard letters with Distress Crackle Paint Old Paper from Ranger Distress Ink Vintage Photo also from Ranger. Old laces. Machinesewed edges with green thread.

The beautiful picture - look how they're enjoying life together ;)

The chipboard letters - painted with Distress Crackle Paint and added some Distress Ink Vintage Photo

The flowers have got some Distress Ink too ;)

I've sewed the papers with both zig-zag- and regular stitches

Grandma's laces ;)

Hope you liked my creation - and I hope grandma will like it too ! Thank you for visiting my blog, and I'll be happy to read a comment from you ;)
Enjoy the evening!

Lots of love,

Et kjærlighetskort ;)

Heisann!

Men her kommer noen bilder:

Pixie Dust Fairy in bright shiny colors :)

Hi there! And thanks for visiting my blog!
Today it's cloudy - again.... But my two little boys are back in kindergarden, and they were so happy to meet their friends again. My daughter has been having a friend on sleepover tonight - and I've been baking breads. And I've also finished a few cards :)
The first one I'll post for you, is made for the following challenges:

* Meljens Designs - Sketch
* Sir Stampalot Challenge - Bring on the Bling
* Colour Create Challenge - Hot pink, Warm orange and Saffron

Here's their inspiration picture:

And here are some pics of my card, inspired by those fantastic colors:

I've always colored my images with watercolorpencils. Now I've bought some Distress Ink refills and some Promarkers to try out... And I found out that the refills wasn't that good to use on my digis - the printerink just floated... I guess there is some "tricks" to make it better, but I'm quite new at this... Any ideas?!

The pixie Dust Fairy is spreading some love ;)

Aloha DT Blog Hop at Michelle Perkett Studio

A L O H A - and welcome to Lanaki aka Randi's blog!! ;o)
If you came here from Lynne's blog, you're on right track - if don't: start over at Michelle's blog!!
Today we're having a Aloha DT Blog Hop for the DT girls at Michelle Perkett Studio. They have given us so much inspiration and shared so many beautiful creations for the last 6 months, but unfortunately they are finishing their DT membership today :(
Aloha means hello, goodbye and thank you, and with this I would like to give a huge thank you to the talented DT girls !!
I've made a card using the fantastic Leilani digi from Michelle Perkett Studio - thanks a bunch for sharing her with us, Michelle!

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to combine this card with a challenge, but now I know that I can - so I'm entering this week's open challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays ;)

Image: Michelle Perkett Studio Leilani
Coloring: Watercolorpencils
Papers: Cardstock from Ursus, DP's from Nille
Others: Altered carton from a pearlpin box. Spellbinders dies. Grey granitepaint blended with sandcolored acrylicpaint for the beach. Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart. Transparent paper. Homemade roses. Leafes and halfpearls from Kort og Godt, Stickles Copper, Turquoise and Crystal from Ranger. Glimmer Mist Sweet Pea from Tattered Angels. Sun sticker. Seashell and starfish decobuttons from Dress It Up. All edges are sewed on my sewing machine.

Leilani on the beach ;)

Martha Stewart butterfly punched out of overhead/transparent paper and edged with Stickles

My homemade roses - with a touch of glitter off course! (I looove glitter!!)
These flowers are PERFECT to make if you're collecting every tiny bit of paper - like I do... *lol*

The inside - I've been using the same papers as on the front, and decorated with some butterflies. Since the papers are so decorative, I didn't add so much decor to the inside, just some halfpearls to soften the corners

Well, that was my creation - hope you liked it!! And I guess you're having a great bloghop. And once more: Thanks a BUNCH to the DT!!
Now, head over to Mari's blog!!

Lots of love,

Michelle Perkett Studio - Joy Fold Card

Hi there!
Today I'm posting my first Joy Fold Card - I've never made these before, I was having some "trouble" when I should decorate it since I never had made one before. But I think it turned out good.. ;)
I won a "name the stamp" contest over at Michelle Perkett Studio, and I was so lucky to get the beautiful stamp I had named: "Mermaid Lullaby". Thank you so much for picking my name, Michelle! I looove the image, and had so much fun coloring it!! And since my cousin is having a boy in the middle of August, I just HAD to make her a card with this image ;)
The card goes to this week's challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio - Joy Fold Card

Digi image: Mermaid Lullaby from Michelle Perkett Studio
Coloring: Watercolorpencils
Sentiment stamps: Kreativ Hobby
Ink: Tim Holtz' Distress Ink Broken China from Ranger
Papers: Cardstock from Ursus, glittered baby boy designpapers from Nille
Others: Ranger Stickles Copper, Frosted Lace, Crystal and Turquoise. Crocheted flower with button from Notabene. Stars and dragonfly from Cuttingpapers from Panduro Hobby. Bling on the mermaids hairband, gold pen.

Mermaid Lullaby - aren't they adorable!!??!

I added just a little Stickles Frosted Lace to the flower too ;)

The inside - I've drawn a frame around the writing space with a glitter pen, and added some babyfeet and
-hands embellishments

A miracle is born!! :) Stamp from Kreativ Hobby

That's what I'd got for you today :) I hope you'll come back for the Aloha Blog Hop at Michelle Perkett Studio at August 1st!
Wish you all a wonderful day - and thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Til en nyfødt jente

Heisann!!
He he...)

Klemmer,
