FBW #124 - Make it glitter and sparkle!!! ;)

Hi there!
Today is kinda sad to me - it's my last duty as a GDT at Flutter By Wednesday's... (sniff, sniff...) I've had such a great time designing for my favorite challenge blog, and I'll sure miss being on your team, ladies!! A special thanks to the fantastic talented and attentive owner, Danni! Thanks for giving me this great oppotunity! I've had such a fantastic month! And thank you all you ladies on the team, you're all great artists and I'm honored to been working with you!!!
I've been having some crazy weeks with LOTS of work and trying to catch up things at home too, so I've been having trouble finding time to leave messages to all the participants in the challenges - I'm really REALLY sorry 'bout that!! :(
Okay... enough of the sad things ;)
Today it's challenge time at Flutter By Wednesday's again!! And the theme is one of my absolutely favorites: SHIMMER, SPARKLE AND GLITTERING !
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

FBW #122 - Buttons

Hello there!
And welcome to another week at Danni's Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge! This week's challenge is sponsored by the fantastic Woodware USA, and I've been so lucky to get to work with some of their fantastic stamps! Woodware USA was totally new to me - but I loved their stamps right away!! You should take a look in their webshop!! Along with a fairy, butterfly or angel, this week Danni wants you to use BUTTONS on your creation. And I love using buttons on my projects, so this challenge was great to me ;) But I had some trouble figuring out how to use the fantastic stamps in my project - I had so many ideas when I got the images!! But in the end I decided to make a creation where the images would be the focal point - and I also got to make something else than the usual square cards that I make so often ;)
So I decided to make some tag cards! ;)

The cards goes to the following challenges:
* Kort O Mania - Birthdaycard
* Nord-Salten Hobbyklubb - Wings

Here are some photos:

FBW #121 - Pink and LOTS of pink!!!

Hi there!
My second week as a GDT at Flutter By Wednesdays are here! Yesterday my youngest son turned two, and we were having a little celebration after we all came home from work, school and kindergarden ;) He's proud to be a "big boy"!!
This week Danni wants to see you create something with bunches of her favorite color - P I N K !!! And off course you have to add a butterfly, fairy or angel :) You may read more about the challenge at the Flutter By Wednesdays Blog. This week the DTgirlies have been so lucky to recieve their own stamps from the kind and generous Susana at Susana's Custom Arts and Cards Design (SCACD). On behalf of the girls I want to send lots of warm thoughts for her generousity!
When I should make a card with LOTS of pink, I thought I could try to make a monochromatic card... That would give a real pinky card!! ;)
My card goes to the following challenges:

* CLP Challenge - Sketch #29
* Nord-Salten Hobbyklubb - Wings
* Sukkersøtt - Monochromatic
* Stamp Something - Something Cute
* Kort 'O Mania - Stitching
* Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Pearls and lace

Here's the finished card - a birthdaycard for a 2year old girlie ;)

A closer look at the beautiful stamp "Angel Eyes - Princess" from Kreativ Hobby. I've altered some wings from my daughter's toys - some wings had fell off her Thinkerbell doll, and couldn't be fixed. And off course I just HAD to put it into my "box of potential embellishment" *lol* I think it worked out good :)

As always, I couldn't wait for the glue to dry before I took the pictures...

One of my homemade roses - distressed and added some glitters

The inside

I machinesewed around every sticker on the inside - and it took a while... *lol*

Recipe

My kids' adventcalendar

Hello to all of you !
First: Have you entered my candy??? You can read more about it here....
For once I'm a little early with some of my Christmas preparations... I've been thinking of making a new advent calender for my kids for some years now - and finally I got the right motivation for doing it!! So... I'm a little early, right!? *lol*
I made the calendar by using 24 matchboxes. Since I'm a mother to three children, my plan is to hide a secret message into the numbered boxes. They will get a little wrapped gift that they have to search for in the house, or they will get an activity (like a day at the swimminghall, baking gingerbreads, making christmas decorations or stuff like that...) I think they will love their new calendar ;)
If you want to make this kind of calendar for your kids, you can find a tutorial here...
The calendar goes to the following challenges:

* Sir Stampalot Challenge - All Distressed
* Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings - Flowers
* Scrappekammeret - Anything Goes

The finished result, side #1

Side #2

Side #3

Side #4

On the top - the sentiment is saying "Waiting time". The flower is alered from my grandmothers old candle decoration.

Cute snowman acrylic decorbutton - I think it fits the snowman dp's perfect ;)

One of the matchboxes from the inside

Recipe
* Papers: - Karen Foster Design- Snowman Parade. Snowflake papers from Nille. Red carton.
Others: All edges are distressed with Distress Ink Vintage Photo from Ranger. The flower is altered from one of my granmother's candle decorations. Ribbons (unknown) Silver 3d liner. Pearls. String. Letters from Nille. Thickers, acrylic snowman button. Wooden decor.

I hope you liked my calendar - and maybe you got inspired to make your own ;) I had so much fun making it, and I'm sure the kids will love it - especially in December... *lol*
Wish you a fantastic week. Tomorrow my youngest son turns 2 years so I guess there will be some kind of sugar then... *lol*
Thanks for visiting my blog, remember to enter my candy :)

Lots of love,
