Aloha DT Blog Hop at Michelle Perkett Studio

A L O H A - and welcome to Lanaki aka Randi's blog!! ;o)
If you came here from Lynne's blog, you're on right track - if don't: start over at Michelle's blog!!
Today we're having a Aloha DT Blog Hop for the DT girls at Michelle Perkett Studio. They have given us so much inspiration and shared so many beautiful creations for the last 6 months, but unfortunately they are finishing their DT membership today :(
Aloha means hello, goodbye and thank you, and with this I would like to give a huge thank you to the talented DT girls !!
I've made a card using the fantastic Leilani digi from Michelle Perkett Studio - thanks a bunch for sharing her with us, Michelle!

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to combine this card with a challenge, but now I know that I can - so I'm entering this week's open challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays ;)

Image: Michelle Perkett Studio Leilani
Coloring: Watercolorpencils
Papers: Cardstock from Ursus, DP's from Nille
Others: Altered carton from a pearlpin box. Spellbinders dies. Grey granitepaint blended with sandcolored acrylicpaint for the beach. Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart. Transparent paper. Homemade roses. Leafes and halfpearls from Kort og Godt, Stickles Copper, Turquoise and Crystal from Ranger. Glimmer Mist Sweet Pea from Tattered Angels. Sun sticker. Seashell and starfish decobuttons from Dress It Up. All edges are sewed on my sewing machine.

Leilani on the beach ;)

Martha Stewart butterfly punched out of overhead/transparent paper and edged with Stickles

My homemade roses - with a touch of glitter off course! (I looove glitter!!)
These flowers are PERFECT to make if you're collecting every tiny bit of paper - like I do... *lol*

The inside - I've been using the same papers as on the front, and decorated with some butterflies. Since the papers are so decorative, I didn't add so much decor to the inside, just some halfpearls to soften the corners

Well, that was my creation - hope you liked it!! And I guess you're having a great bloghop. And once more: Thanks a BUNCH to the DT!!
Now, head over to Mari's blog!!

Lots of love,

Michelle Perkett Studio - Joy Fold Card

Hi there!
Today I'm posting my first Joy Fold Card - I've never made these before, I was having some "trouble" when I should decorate it since I never had made one before. But I think it turned out good.. ;)
I won a "name the stamp" contest over at Michelle Perkett Studio, and I was so lucky to get the beautiful stamp I had named: "Mermaid Lullaby". Thank you so much for picking my name, Michelle! I looove the image, and had so much fun coloring it!! And since my cousin is having a boy in the middle of August, I just HAD to make her a card with this image ;)
The card goes to this week's challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio - Joy Fold Card

Digi image: Mermaid Lullaby from Michelle Perkett Studio
Coloring: Watercolorpencils
Sentiment stamps: Kreativ Hobby
Ink: Tim Holtz' Distress Ink Broken China from Ranger

The inside - I've drawn a frame around the writing space with a glitter pen, and added some babyfeet and

Til en nyfødt jente

Heisann!!
He he...)

Think GREEN!!

Hi, and thanks for visiting my blog! :)

The weather has been so bad this summer and especially the last weeks, we've had some wonderful summerdays, but mostly it has been raining and low temperatures. It's perfect weather for scrapping, but I haven't been in mood for crafting. But today we've had a fantastic summerday, and I've been sitting outside and done some crafting!! My husband is gone fishing and I've been finishing some projects while my kids are sleeping :)
The first card I've been finishing, is made with the gorgeous freebie I got from Paula over at Pollycraft by entering a freebie challenge. (And now I'm able to choose another of her beautiful digis - how cool is that?!?! *sss*) The theme for this challenge is to think GREEN. I've been coloring in green, used green color in my papers and I've even thought green by using "The Green Stack" papers from DCWV. Those papers are 70% recycled!! And I've made my own flowers by altering small green paperpieces :)
And for this card, I've been using this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers Blog.

Papers: The Green Stack from DCWV, cardstock from Ursus
Image: Tortoise Hugs from Pollycraft
Coloring: Watercolor pencils
Ink: Tim Holtz' Distress Ink Broken China from Ranger
Sentiment stamp: "I love you" from Kreativ Hobby
Others: Paperedges are sewed on my sewingmachine, flower ribbon from Nille, homemade flowers, Spellbinders dies Labels One and Deckled Rectangles

My homemade flowers - perfect if you've got lots of tiny paperpieces that you don't want to throw (I sure do have LOTS of those.... *lol*)

I love you ;)

The inside

GO GREEN!!!! ;)

I'm so glad you visited my blog today - and I'll be really happy if you leave a message for me too!! *SSS*
Wish you all a fantastic week!!

Elvis - the King ;)

Heisann!
Kortet passer til disse utfordringene:

* Kort og Godt - Hvit, Creme og Mint
* Vintageutfordring - Skisse

Akvarell kartong.

The King of Rock'n'Roll ;)

Flotte ord !!! ;)

Takk for at du besøker bloggen min - og en liten hilsen hadde vært kjempekoselig!!! ;)

Martine lager flere kort :)

Hi there!
I'm posting a card for my daughter Martine, she's counting the days until her 8th birthday on August 16th ;) And today we've been inside because it rains A LOT, and she has made a card for her friend.
The card fits the following challenges:

* Kona Kid Krafters - Bling it Up!
* Childrens Challenge Corner - Green, orange and yellow
* Little Hands Do Craft - Bears

The beautiful image is "Kiki Kitty" from Pollycraft, colored with watercolorpencils. Papers and butterfly bling from Nille, heart- and flower bling from Europris.

Adorable Kiki and her kitten

Have a crafty new week! ;)
Hugs from Martine and her mum,

Flash Those Pollycraft Freebies!!

Hi there, and thanks for visiting my blog today!
The summer seems to blow away my inspiration - I haven't created anything for days now... But over at Pollycraft, they've got a funny challenge which I just HAD to join! The challenge is to make a creation with at least one of the previous Pollycraft freebies. And there's lots of them! But I really adore Cuthbert, so I've used the Cuthbert for you image, and created a Birthday tag!
Here are some photos:

Stamps: Cuthbert for you digi from Pollycraft, tagstamp from Kreativ Hobby
Papers: Tag from Ursus, green pawprint paper from Notabene.
Coloring: Watercolor pencils
Others: Eyelet from Staples, silver embossing powder, buttons, ribbon, stonepainting (grey granite)

Tag stamp from Kreativ Hobby - "It's your day today, congratulations"

Adorable Cuthbert. Unfortunately it's hard to see the cute pawprints in the green paper...

The buttons and the tag edges have got a small amount of stonepaint

Wish you all a wonderful day - today it's raining A LOT here... Perfect crafting weather - I just have to find my mojo again... LOL

Hugs and kisses,

Kickin' it for Michelle

Hey there!
Thanks for visiting my blog today!

As many of you have heard, the uber-talented Michelle, one of the DT members of A Spoonful of Sugar, had a terrible accident and lost one of her eyes. That means lots of new challenges for her, and a long time for recovering. I got really sad when I heard about this accident, and my thoughts flew to Michelle. At A Spoonful of Sugar, they've started a "Kickin' it for Michelle" Card Drive. And off course I wanted to make a card for Michelle. She has inspired me many times with her beautiful creations and her funny stories about her life on her farm in Texas.
For my card, I've used the July sketch from the CLP Challenge, and I'm entering their challenge. I'm also entering this week's challenge at Flutterby Wednesday's, where the challenge is to use 3 or more layers and, off course, an angel, butterfly or fairy !! :)

I wanted the card to be a "happy" one with bright and cheerful colors. And I wanted it to be "me" - so I had to add lots of glitters and butterflies along with bright colors. I used glimmermist color Sweet Pea for the doily edge and the background label. And lots of Stickles, off course! ;)

The fantastic donkey image from Meljen's Design, sitting on the "Glimmermisted" background :)

I've added some Stickles to the rose too :)

The butterfly on the outside. One layer white vellum and one layer silver carton (The same carton I used for the "Best Wishes" sentiment) And off course - more stickles!! LOL

The inside.

The sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs. I've added a little Glimmermist Sweet Pea to it and since the printer ink wasn't waterresistant, it floated a little, but in fact I don't think that matters too much...

The butterflies on the inside :)

RECIPE:
Stamps: Meljen's Design - Donkey Smiles freebie, Sentiment stamp from Raindrop Echo Designs
Coloring: watercolor pencils
Papers: bought at Nille and Notabene
Others: Glassene Butterfly Punch and Doily Lace Edge Punch from Martha Stewart. Halfpearls and flowers from Kort og Godt. Spellbinders Small Labels. Tattered Angels Glimmermist Sweet Pea. Ranger's Stickles Frosted Lace and Crystal. Silver stickers from Nille. White Vellum paper. All edges sewed on my sewing machine.

I hope I'll get to post this card for Michelle this week - and I hope all the embellies will survive all the way to Texas... LOL
Thank you for visiting, and thanks to all of you who makes my day by leaving comments to my creations!!

Love,
