Birthday card

I've been finishing this birthday-card today, and I've made it for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #6, where we should use a Sassy Cheryl girl image and include a ribbon.
I adore the Sassy Cheryl images, they are both cute and fun. Here's the card I've made: (I apologize for the bad photo quality...)

I've used this gorgeous freebie from Sassy Cheryl's. I adore her! (And her "Elton John glasses" are SOOO cool!!) She reminds me of my daughter when she was 3-4 years and she should dress up - my high heeled shoes and all kind of glitter and accesories she could find - in all different colors. And she shouted out for all of us to look at her !!!  So proud of herself in her gorgeous clothes ;) She's colored with my watercolor pencils. I made the card in olive green Bazill, burgundy papers and deco papers from Ursus, and sew the papers together on my sewing machine. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the same decopaper as in the background. I've made a flower of different layers of paperflowers and a red glittered (of course!) brad in the middle. I've monted the flower on top of a olive green ribbon bow. The shoes has got some bling and I've added lots of glitters all around ;)

Karens Doodles Kids Challenge

Today my daughter Martine and I have been crafting together. I was the lucky winner of 4 adorable Karens Doodles digis when I entered the Karens Doodles Blog Hop. My 7 years ols daughter got to pick her own digi - and she loves princesses and horses (don't they all of the 7 years girls?!? *lol*) so she picked this wonderful Princess Pony digi. Challenge #3 at Karens Doodles Kid's Challenge is embossing. Martine got to use my Cuttlebug machine to cut and emboss, and she really seemed to enjoy it ;) And look at this beautiful card she made:

She has used lots of pink papers and accesories to decorate her card. She's planning to give it to a pink-loving friend for her birthday ;) The Princess Pony digi is painted with her watercolors, and she has cut and embossed it with my Spellbinders dies. Pink embossed paper. She has used a pink "princess-tiara" ribbon. The sentiment she has cut out from a deco-paper from Ursus.  And at last she has made some flowers putting together different paperflowers and added brads in the middle :)

Once again I have to say thank you so much to the Karens Doodles Kid's Team for making these challenges for the kids too. It's so much fun to make these cards together with the kids, and they are enjoying these moments :) And the images is so cute, and so funny to color! So if you have your own kids or nieses, nephews, grandchildren or other creative kids (all of them are creative, we just have to remember to let them be it too!) around you: Let them try out this challenges - you will not regret!! ;)

Child(ish) ATC

Nå banker helga på døra igjen, her har jeg 3 småsyke barn hjemme idag, men sammen har vi laget litt kort mens minstemann sov formiddagsluren. Da fikk jeg laget ferdig et ATC til Art Pieces sin ukesufordring, der man skulle lage en barne ATC. Det var kjempekoselig å lage denne ATC'en - jeg fikk utrolig mange idèer da jeg så oppgaven. Men endte opp med å lage dette:

Jeg liker å lage et "budskap" med mine ATC'er - på denne kommer det jo godt fram ;) Jeg har brukt rød kartong i bunn, og papir i regnbuens farger, som jeg har kuttet ut med mine Labels Spellbinders dies. Ulike papirrester er blitt brukt for å skrive budskapet på, og klovnen er et glansbilde som jeg har klippet ut. Den lille "vindmøllen" er en knapp som jeg har fjernet "øyet" fra på baksida. Tenkte litt på å pynte litt mer, med litt glitter og stæsj, men jeg likte igrunn kortet sånn som det var - enkelt men fargerikt ;)

Ønsker dere alle en kreativ og flott helg. Her håper jeg på å få barna ordentlig frisk så de er klare for skole og barnehage igjen over helga...

Color Combo

Today I've been quite busy, but I've managed to complete my latest project. I've made this card for the following challenges:

* Michelle Perkett Studio - favorite color combo incl lace and pearls

* Flutter By Wednesday - sparkle

* Totally Gorjuss - I used their sketch as inspiration, I've turned it around a little to make it fit my cardfolding technique.

My favorite color combo is depending a little on what kind of occasion I'm making my card for. But I think my absolute favorite is lime, turqouise and light blue (like the Vancouver colors, I guess... *lol*)

Here's some pictures:

I've used this gorgeous digi image named Butterfly Fairy from Michelle Perkett. I really love this image. I've colored her with my watercolorpencils (as always... *sigh*) Bazill and different papers bought at Nille. Light blue glittered brads, turquoise ribbon and those two butterflies in lime and turquoise I've bought at Nille too (I find so much cute and cheap stuff there... *S* ) I've sparkled up the card with Crystal Stickles & lime- and silvercolored glitterglue, and the paper in back of the fairy, I've cut with my Spellbinder-die.

The gorgeous Butterfly Fairy deserves a closer look. It was so much fun coloring her! And she got some stickles and glitterglue too ;)

The card can open as simple as that! I've used magnets to lock the card, I tried to hide the magnet under the ribbon, but it wasn't strong enough. Then I tried a stronger magnet - but then I hardly could open the card... *lol*

Here's the inside. I tried to decorate at the sides, but I love the butterfly/flowers papers so much, that I couldn't hide it under lots of papers...

A girl is born

I've just posted my childrens cards made for Karens Doodles Kids Challenge. When they made their card, I was working on my own project. I won a super gorgeous digi stamp from the Easter Blog Hop over at Karens Doodles, and when I got it, I just had to start coloring it! I'm in love, that's for sure !!!  
I've been creating a newborn card for a little girl, and I've been inspired of these two challenges:

* Sketchy Colors Challenge #18 with this sketch

* Whimsical Wednesdays with this inspiration picture

So this is the card I've created today:

As I said, I've used my new digi stamp from Karens Doodles, named "Love at first sight". I was SO lucky to win it, it's my favorite already! I have colored the image with my watercolor pencil - haven't got the money to buy new coloring tools yet... I've used a small cake paper, and I've cut out a circle in the same size with my Spellbinder die. I was inspired by the picture to use brown, white and lots of pink :) The paper with the foot prints are bought at Nille. I've used a white paper ribbon and the sentiment is a rub on from Basic Grey. The pink hearts is from a cutting paper from Panduro. The stitches are painted on - I got a little lazy so I didn't sew it on my sewing machine.. *lol*

I just had to show you a close up of this adorable image! As you can see, the little girl got a pearl in her ear and some glitter on her ballerinadress ;)

The sentiment from Basic Grey. It says "Miracle - an act of God, an amazing & extraordinary event, a marvelous creation"

Some of the hearts. I've used 3D tape on some of them, makes a very nice effect I think...

A sneak peek on the inside. Usually I decorate more, but I wanted this clean and simple. The girl paper on the left side is from Nille, and I got it in the same package as the one with the footsteps :)

I'm so greatful for all the inspiration I get from all of you out there, and I appreciate all the comments you are giving me. I'm so happy to be a member of the card making bloggers in Cyberspace!!! ;)

We had a really fun time last night, my two oldest kids and I. And today we have finished our projects while their little brother was taking a nap :)
I'm so happy that Karens Doodles har started a own challenge blog own challenge blog for kids. Her images are SO cute, and both kids wanted to use Easter Puppy for their projects. They had so much fun while they were coloring and making their cards - and I was working on my own card for an other challenge :)

Time for decorating

Here's Vebjørn's (3 1/2 years) finished project. Silver and gold paper, and some star, flowers and blue blings. He didn't want any ribbons on, he thought it was too "girly"... *lol* And the green paper under the dog's "egg" is a snowboard, he say ;o)

Here's a picture og Martine's (7 years) finished project. It's a little hard to see, but she has used glitterglue to decorate the Puppy's egg.

Both of the finished cards. I think they did a terrific job! ;)

And in the end I wanna say thank you so much to Karens Doodles for starting this Kid's blog, they find it so much fun when they can make their own project together with their paperaddicted mum ;o) 

Snart tilbake til hverdagen...

Ja, nå er jeg solbrent etter en hel dag ute på terassen i herlig påskevær, og påskas 2.bok er nesten ferdiglest. Påskegjestene er reist og det er jo et tegn på at påska er på hell... Været har vært upåklagelig hele påska - nå er det kun en dag igjen, og i morgen skal hele familien tilbringe dagen i badeland. Det skal bli deilig :o) Har forresten ikke fått laget noe som helst i påska, egentlig litt synd for jeg hadde noen utfordringer jeg virkelig så fram til, men man kan ikke rekke alt!

Men før påska avsluttes, har jeg lyst til å vise et bilde av hva guttene mine på 1 1/2 og 3 år kom hjem med fra barnehagen før påskeferien.

Se på disse herlige eggekyllingene med karse i! Jeg synes de er megaherlige! De smeltet absolutt mitt morshjerte ;)

Så ønsker jeg dere en super påskeavslutning, og håper at jeg snart får tid og inspirasjon til litt papirkreativiteter... ;o)
