Good news, bad news and a card

Hi there!

The last month has been hard, but it has also learned me a lot about myself and what I want to do with my life.
For those of you who wonder what's been gooing on, I can tell that my mum died on Crete when she was on a trip with some friends. It was a shock to all of us, she was seeming pretty healthy before she left, but after only two days on the Greek island, her aorta cracked and she died within only a couple of minutes.
Now I use the cardmaking as a therapy - it's good to think of other things...

But this was the sad news - I've got some really good news too!! :)
For those of you that knows me, you also know that I looooove the Sweet Pea Stamps. And I'm so lucky to be one of the girls on the Sweet Pea Stamps DT now!! Wuhuuu! Which means I'm able to work even more with the fantastic stamps!! :) I'm really excited!!
I've made a SPS card using the October sketch from my fav sketch challenge blog, CLP Challenge (which I've been so lucky to be a part of earlier! Lucky me!!)
For my card, I've been using the supercute Elisabeth Bell stamp named Sitting with Teddy, coloring her up with my Distress reinkers.

Because I've been having lots of health trouble lately, I've decided to step down from my DT positions in both CLP Challenge blog and Sweet Pea Stampers blog. It's really sad for me to do that, but I need to give my body time to heal. Then blogging isn't the best thing to do...
At the CLP Challenge Blog, there is a DT Call going on, and it lasts until April 17th. It's a FANTASTIC team to be a part of, and I love Chelsea's sketches! I will miss them SO much! If you want to join the team, take a look here.

CLP Challenge #45

Hello!
We've already left February behind us, and March is here :) Actually, in two weeks I turn 31... ;)
Well, but on this first day of March, we're presenting a new sketch to play with on the CLP Challenge Blog. Yay, I loooove Chelsea's sketches SO much - I think I never so far had to do any flipping, rotating or other things to her sketch. Because her sketches are so delicate and inspiring!! ;)
But you're always free to do some small changes to the sketches, as long as we're still able to see that you've been using the sketch on your card :)
This month the sketch is for FUN - we don't have any sponsors so you're able to make as many projects as you want, based on the sketch. And we'll pick Top 3's when the challenge is ended :)
Here are some pics of my card:

CLP DT-card: Friendship

Hello there!
I'm really sorry I haven't posted my DT card for the CLP Sketch Challenge for February until now...
Things are even more crazy than before, we seem to have gotten "The Big Flu" into the house. Both of the boys are having high fever, headache, musclepain and aching throats. I guess there's only a question of time until our daughter and the parents are sick too, those things spreads like fire into dry grass, as we say in Norwegian.
Okay, that's enough sad things for now, I want to share the card I've made with Chelsea's sketch for February.
This month we're sponsored by Pretty Little Stamps (formal known as Gurlee Girl Stamps), and I got this fantastic image to play with. Unfortunatly my wrists are still hurting, and I had to use an image that I had colored up earlier, so you don't get to see the beautiful image - yet! But I hope I'll soon be able to color up images again... ;)

Wow! That's a lot of words!! Time for some pics!!!! Ha ha!

DT - CLP September sketch

September is here!!
Which actually means that we're soon moving in to our new house :) And it means one more thing: A new sketch challenge on the CLP blog!!! Wow, I love Chelsea's sketches, I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be picked on her designteam :)
This month we're sponsored by Lili of the Valley. Aaawwwhhh, I looove their cute stamps!! And all of the CLP DT girlies was so lucky to get three of the new Christmas stamps to play with. Thank you so much for the generousity :)
I used the darling stamp named "On the way". Because of the moving, I haven't got to buy any new cardmaking stuff in a while. I really wanted to buy some matching Xmas papers and stash, but I had to use what I found in my stash that I already had. I didn't get quite pleased with the result, but WOOOW I loved to color up this image!!! :)
You have to go to the CLP blog to see what my supertalented DT companions have created - and you'll see beautiful creations from the Lili of The Valley DT too!! :)

My finished card

Well... I didn't have time to wait with the picture until the glitterglue dried... LOL

A closeup of the dp's from Papirdesign, which actually is the text from a Norwegian Christmas song

Poinsettia, giftbutton, snowflakes, glitters and peals ;)

The inside of the card

"The wish is old but yet so true; a merry Christmas from me to you"

With this card I'm entering the Stamptember Blog Hop Challenge at Simon Says Stamp / Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge.

I'm not quite sure if this is going to be my last post for a while, there is SO much to do before moving...
Thank you so much for visiting my blog - and to all of you that leaves me a message: You should know that it means A LOT to me!!!

CLP #39 - Sponsored by Whimsy Stamps!!

Hi there!
It sure has been some sad days here in Norway, after the massacre in Oslo and on Utøya on July 22nd. It's been really hard for me to create anything, I've been having so much going on in my mind...
But July has been a good month too - my family went on a short vacation in the middle of the month. And we've been having lots of nice, shiny weather. And in fact, it seems like we're going to get our own beautiful house in the end of this year. Exciting!! :)
The fall season is just around the corner - and in fact, I'm looking forward to that. Dark evenings with candles, a cup of tea and off course: CARDMAKING!! :)

Well... Here are some pics of my card:

The finished card - I gonna give it to my daughter who turns 9 years in two weeks. She's both cool and dressy, and I found this Kenny K image perfect for her ;)

Closeup pic of the image. I've added some glossy accents to her lips and some glitters to her jeweleries, but unfortunately that doesn't show up any good on the pic...

For a cool girl ;)
