Best Summer Wishes

Hi there!
I'll share my latest card with you - a "Best Wishes for Summer" card for someone we care about.
I've added some new pics in better quality to this post. And a picture from the inside too, I didn't know I had forgotten that ;)
The card fits into the following challenges:

* Allsorts Challenge - Sketch
* Karen's Doodles Netherlands - Patchwork
* Stamp Something - Something summer
* Sketchy Colors - Blue, pink and green
* A Spoon Full of Sugar - Good Luck/Best Wishes
and I'm also leaving a greeting for
* Flutter By Wednesday   ;)

I've used papercuts to make the patchwork background. (Every week there should be a patchwork Challenge so I could use some of my leftover papers... *lol*)
The image is "Butterfly Baby Boy" from Karen's Doodles, colored with my watercolor pencils and added some glitters ;) All papers are zig-zag sewed on my sewing machine.
Embellishments: Paperflowers and glittered brads. Stickles (Turquoise, copper and crystal) The butterflies I've made with Martha Stewart punch, and I've added some stickles too. Handwritten "patchworked" letters, saying "Best Summer Wishes"

The inside. Same papers as on the frontside and off course: more sparkling butterflies!!! ;)

That's it. I'm sorry 'bout the photo quality - the midnight sun did hide behind the big mountains and I didn't want to wait until it came around at 02.00 tonight... *lol*
Thank you for visiting my blog!
Lots of love,

A Bookmark for my Daughter

Hi again!
This is my second post tonight, I'll make it quick because I need some sleep... *lol*
I've made a creation for this week's challenge at Pollycraft. Maria has challenged us: NO CARDS and/or glitter and lace. Besides papercrafting, reading is my hobby. My daughter gave me a beautiful bookmark that she had made - now I thought I should give her one, because she loves reading too ;)
This creation also goes to this months challenge over at Sir Stampalot Challenge, where the theme is Punch It
So, here it is:

This freebie Owl from Pollycraft is sooo cute! I've been coloring her with my watercolorpencils. The glittering owl papers are from Nille. Handwritten text. Paper lace border med with my new Martha Stewart punch, and I've added Glimmermist Sweet Pea from Tattered Angels onto the border. Halfpearls. Pearl stickles around the owlpapers, silver glitterpen around the letters and in the owl's eyes.

Cutie! ;) You can see the glittering border made with the glimmermist, and the glittering eyes

"Get wise, read books" It sounds better in Norwegian.... *lol*

Well, that's all for tonight!!!
Hugs,

Birthday card

Hello to all of you!
It has been raining for 4 days now, and it never seems to end... It's the perfect scrapweather, but I do have things to do outside too... But I don't complain! :p
I've got two creations to post this evening - the first one is a card I've made for my older sister. She's giving it to a friend of her who turns 40 years in a couple of weeks. This is the second time I'm trying to make a Vintage card - I need to practice! *lol*
I've made it for the following challenges:

* Midnight Madness - Sketch
* Totally Gorjuss - Sugar and Spice
* Challenge Up Your Life - Vintage
* Vintageudfordring - Merkedag
* Sir Stampalot Challenge - Punch It

Here are some pics:

Papers: brown glazy papers and blue velvet papers from Notabene
Image: Old Photo Postcard freebie from Graphics Fairy
Sentiment stamp: Kreativ Hobby
Embellishment: Halfpearls, flower and leafes from Kort og Godt, lace and butterflies made by Martha Stewart punches. The doily was white, I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmermist Sweet Pea, the flowers were babypink and I sprayed them too. The numbers are black chipboard numbers which I embossed with my golden embossing powder. All papers are blackened with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and distressed

The sweet girlie

It's your day today, congrats!

Some of the glimmermisted flowers with a fluttering butterfly on ;)

Vebjørns kort

Today my oldest son Vebjørn turns 4 years. We've been celebrating all weekend - and today he didn't want to go to kindergarden, because he wanted to stay home playing with his new toys. And he has also been crafting together with his sister and me :)
He's entering the following challenges with his card:

* Little Hands Do Craft - Bling It Up!
* Kona Kid Krafter's - Red, white and Blue
* Childrens Challenge Corner - Flowers
* Karen's Doodles Kids Challenge - A Special Card for Dad

Here's what he has been making - a card for his dad! ;)

Blue and white striped carton, flower patterned papers. The image is Easter Puppy from Karen's Doodles. Decorations: buttons, bling and glitterglue ;)

The cute Easter Puppy - Vebjørn's favorite image! ;) Look at those two cute gold glitterglue dots he has added to the puppy's ears! I told him not to use too much... *lol*

He's so proud of this "button tower" he made ! ;)

Look at the proud birthdayboy! He made this cake together with me for the childs party on Sunday. He wanted a Monstertruck cake - and off course he had to get one! This is the most easy cake I've decorated EVER!! Men likes it easy! He he he!

Here's one more picture of the cake. Such a messy cake, huh!? *lol*

Well, that's about it... ;)
Have a wonderful week!
Lots of love

Martine's kort

Hi there!

I'm posting two cards that my 7 1/2 years old daughter Martine has made. The first card is for the following challenges:

* Childrens Challenge Corner - Flowers
* Little Hands Do Craft - Bling It Up!

The second card is for the Kona Kid Krafters Challenge, where she should use the colors Red, White and Blue

Brown carton, flower papers from Notabene. The image is Bigsby from Karens Doodles. She has decorated the card with acrylic flowers and - butterflies, and glitterglue

Bigsby :)

She has written "Maja 9 years, Hurray for you" As you understand, it's a birthdaycard for her friend who's celebrating her birthday today

One of the butterflies and some of the flowers. As you can see, Martine has drawn some fluttering traces with glitterglue :)

Here's card number two, this is the card Martine made for her little brother Vebjørn who turns 4 years today:

She has created this gorgeous card for her Spiderman fan brother - the image is SO perfect for him! (He placed it on the bookshelf in his bedroom right after he got it! *lol*) It's a freebie from Whiff of Joy, named Spider Henry. Red and white polkadotted carton for the base and some blue carton for the background. Buttons in red, white and blue (off course!) as decoration ;)

Spider Henry - such a cool guy! ;)

Here's the inside - look at the message she has written - in red, white and blue! *lol*

So, this was Martine's cards.
Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Singing Fairy :)

Hello there!
Right now I'm sitting outside with my laptop - the weather is fantastic, and we really deserved it after weeks with rainy and cold weather and just a few sunny days.
In fact, I have lots of things to do inside since we're celebrating my oldest son's 4years birthday Saturday and Sunday. And we're having a family Midsummer celebration too this weekend. But I prefer sitting outside than cleaning, baking and dusting... He he...
I've been sitting here, finishing two cards. So I've got two posts to share with you today. The first card is for the following challenge:

* Digital Tuesday Challenge - Easel Card
* Stamp Something - Something Summer

The card I've made, is for my older sister who has finished school - and she has done a fab job! She's 40 and had to change job. I think she's fantastic who manage to combine her education and her familylife. And she's an A student!! I'm SO proud of her, so I'm giving her this card and a bottle of bubbly water... *lol*
And there's one more detail: the border around the image is made of some left overs from my sisters new curtains. I just wanted to show her that they could be used for something good! *lol*
Well, enough chat, here's some pictures!!

The image is this gorgeous freebie named "Daisy Fairy" I got her from Prairie Fairy when I took part in a DT challenge. She's colored with my watercolorpencils and I've added some stickles to her wings and her flowers. I've cut a background panel with Spellbinders die, embossing and added some stickles. The papers are from Notabene. The border is sewed on my sewing machine, and as you know, it's leftovers from my sister's curtains :) The pearls are from Kort og Godt . The bling butterflies are from Nille. And the fairy is singing a tribute - the notes are stickers and so are the stars added to the border. All edges are sewed on my sewing machine.

The gorgeous fairy

Here's a picture of the card when it's opened. The sentiment is handwritten and says "Nice work!"

Another pic of the card

Yup, that's what I got for you at this post - but one more is popping up in a moment ;)
Warm summer hugs

Happy Birthday Boy!

Howdy!
Just another card from me here in the sunshine :)
This one is for the following challenges:

* Squiggles And Giggles - Birthday Best (And the prize is the chance to join their DT!!)
* Totally Gorjuss - For The Boys!
* Cupcake Craft Challenges - One for the Boys
* Incy Wincy Designs - One for the Boys
* Friday Sketchers Blog - Sketch # 107
* Meljens Design - Use Fibers, Ribbons or Lace
* Donnas Den of Craft - Happy Birthday

Here are some pics:

The image is the gorgeous "Hey Dude" from Squiggles and Giggles, colored with my watercolor pencils. The papers are from Basic Grey. The sentiment, which says "Happy birthday", is written on my Dymo. I've used the following embellishments: Paperclips, buttons, waxed cotton thread, staples, metaldeco.

The cute dude ;)

Paperclips fits great on a boy's card :)

Home made "metaldeco boysflowers" *lol* And the waxed cotton thread

Happy Birthday

The inside. The same papers as on the front. I've made a writingpanel and written a text from a Norwegian Birthdaysong on my Dymo.

The birthday song text :)

Yup, but now I'm taking my kids for a walk in the nice and sunny weather. Wishing you all a wonderful Weekend - we're celebrating 4 years birthday for my oldest son and Midsummer with my family :)
Thank you for visiting my blog!

Summertime

Heisann!

He he...
